I’ve been beta testing the new Firefox 4 for quite some time now. When it comes out it will turn heads. It incorporates a lot features found in Google Chrome (tabs on top, tabs that act as distinct instances of the browser, and HTML 5 support). What’s new in 4.0b7 that makes me happy is the ability to see the URL for the link you’re about to click on in the URL section of the browser window. I know it did this before, but it was always in the lower right hand corner, where the average user will not bother to look. Not only does it make perfect sense to put the linked URL in this area, but Firefox does it in such a way that the user will know what’s going on intuitively. Now that’s computing made easy!
