The Abomination of Ebooks: They Price People Out of Reading | Wired Opinion | Wired.com

I am sick and tired of articles that demonize eBooks. This article has so much wrong information that it’s difficult to read without wanting to scream. I know the deals are different for large publishers than small publishers, but the general public isn’t aware of this.

Also, when he talks about library pricing, he has no clue what he’s talking about. Libraries often get screwed on the price of any book they lend out. Even physical books get priced much higher for libraries because they lend the book out to many people. Personally, I don’t believe in that, and have given Seventh Window titles to libraries rather than charge them exorbitant prices for the privilege of being on their shelves. if only publishers saw libraries as a way to increase readership and not way to make money. So please, support your local library, they need it.
