Project Fi Early Adoption

I signed up for Project Fi, but don’t know if I can part with my G3 and get the Nexus 6 (the only phone compatible with Project Fi at this time). I’m sure other phones will be compatible once it comes out if beta, but how long will that take?

So, when I get the invite, I’ll have to give getting a Nexus device some good thought. I love not having buttons on the side, which is what keeps me with my G3. It’s amazing what a simple design change can do.

It took my G3 on Verizon forever to get the Lollipop (5.0) update, so I’m hoping Google will put it out as an app the way they did Android System Webview. I would love to keep my G3.

Now the question is, will timely updates and saving money trump rear button design? And there’s always the question of how long before the G3 is compatible?
